this week… on a very special episode of “gronk”… ; P
and even though halloween has come and gone, there’s another amazing gronk pumpkin i just HAVE to share!
this pumpkin is courtesy of Sophie Norcott over at http://www.greencouchstudio.com/. thank you! it’s so cute!!
You manage to be charming this week and still make a serious point.
AW! Did you HAVE to hit her with reality so early on? I’M not ready for it yet. Great work, have a nice weekend!
So many groovy elements. I love the whole feel of Gronk, and this was a nice moment that touches on real world issues relevant today. On the less serious side I love the little robot on the scarf and Gronk’s tail is always cute.
I do wonder how long into their walk before someone notices them and snaps a picture with their phone and Gronk winds up in the National Enquirer next to Batboy?
I love Gronk and am always happy to pass it along to friends via facebook and other outlets. I’m hoping for several years of Gronk love.
aww…this one is the best one yet…made my heart break alittle. nothing like an innocent view on how ridiculous people are in this world.
This one took me back to Calvin & Hobbes a bit in how it’s such a light-hearted, fun strip but can have such a strong point when needed. Well done Katie! You just forged new territory with Gronk. SO excited for what’s next (as always)!
And we know what George Takei calls this folks
From the mouths of babes
Oh my gosh!! I got so excited when I saw our pumpkin posted! Thank you so much for the link! I thought I’d let you know that nearly every kid we got on Halloween was FASCINATED by Gronk and wanted to know about the character. I hope lots of them were able to see this week’s comic — so endearing with an important message too. Keep up the awesomeness.
This is mind-blowing =D
Take that, PSA cartoons from the late 80’s and early 90’s!
Very touching and very well done. I agree with Mr. Andy Owen that is feels like one of the many Calvin and Hobbes that threw “heavy” stuff into the world of comics. Another wonderful strip, Katie!
i don’t think it’s preechy…but some folks tend to get offended at anything that makes them have those wacky “feelings” they’re so afraid of.
I love Gronk’s simple “That’s dumb” In two little words, she described EXACTLY how I feel about our vain nature. Way to go Katie!
Gronk can give such sage statements. She’s a smart monster! 🙂
WOW This is going on my FB wall! and SO true! Dealing with people with disabilities I see the prejudice all the time! Brought tears to my eyes!
I love the scarf 🙂 !!
Love it as always.. and i love the Gronk jack o’ latern. 🙂 Thank you Katie for cheering up my Friday with another wonderful Gronk.
just found this and i’m in love 😀
definitely goin in my bookmarks 🙂
This comic is adorable. I love it.
Gronk’s so innocent yet so wise, n’awwwwwh :3
I really want a plushie Gronk now, that’d be awesome <3
I usually love this comic (I read it almost every week!), but this one fell flat for me. I’m a bit nervous about being the first to post a critical comment, but I feel like if you’d left it at “People make judgments about others based on what they look like instead of what’s inside,” the whole thing would have been a lot sweeter and completely true and fully within the bounds of their conversation. Does that make sense? I respect your willingness to take the comic to different levels, but the dialogue in the 3rd panel was more heavy-handed than usual – it reached too far while saying too little. Obviously you can take this as seriously as you want; I am only one reader. I just hope you take this in the non-mean-spirited way it’s intended.
Very cool! 🙂
