the first new gronk comic of 2013!
here’s to another year of gronk… although i just read an article online that said most webcomic creators are under 30, so now i feel like i’m an old lady and past my prime. (I turned 31 a few weeks ago!). I believe this whole-heartedly… because who doesn’t believe everything they read on the internet?

Don’t feel bad, I just turned 43 and only launched my webcomic 5 weeks ago. I think you have a lot more years ahead of you! LOL
I don’t have a webcomic but I did turn 31 last year and I feel old every time I come onto the internet. So you’re not alone.
Eighty-five percent of all spontaneous statistics are made up on the spot.
I’m 42 and I have had my own webcomic since 2006…and have had it hosted at my own site since 2010. I’m not sure what that’s supposed to prove, though…except maybe that I feel old, too?
I’m 53. I don’t have a webcomic; I just enjoy others’ works. Looks like Gronk has a few Bugs to work out as regards her references and audience!
Young whippersnipper! Back in MY day, we didn’t even have gopherspace or FTP. If you wanted to publish a comic or cartoon you had to use an A.P.A. & make your own pages with a spirit duplicator or Roneo – ah, the smell (cough, choke).
There are plenty of successful comic creators out there who started later in life – Howard Tayler (Schlock Mercenary) is one, he’s even had authors ask for permission to make a ‘backstory’ SF series set in his Toon world.
No worried about the age, Katie. I just celebrated my thirty-fun birthday (see what I did there…thirty-one = thirty-fun?), and I’m still having a blast!
Happy belated birthday, by the by. 😉
Don’t believe a word of it, Life just gets better and your only as old as you feel. I’m 29 (almost 30) and I still feel like a kid. I’m working on my own graphic novel (still a work in a very long process) and I think my drawing is just now becoming what I want it to be.
well, i am 17, but my comics suck.
So you are all good… 🙂
